Friday morning, all four of us had an appointment at the eye doctor's. Since David and I both have glasses, and a few of their cousins do as well, we thought it would be a good idea to get Aria and Nina's eyes checked while we are here. Well, everything went fine until the eye doctor taped one of Aria's eyes shut (to see how much she could see out of the other eye). She just cried and cried, and cared less about the picture of the elephant on the wall. So, the doctor had to think up of another 'game'. It proved to be quite an interesting morning, but we are thankful we took the time to do that. The girls will go back in 2 weeks for a different kind-of exam that involves eye drops... could be very interesting!!!
While Lara was with us on Saturday, David, along with his brothers, helped Mia's parents move. (Talk about lots of things going on at once! A baby, and then having to move! ) David helped his brother Peter all day moving furniture and boxes to their new location. It's really nice that Mia and her mama could rest at the hospital while all the moving was taking place.
Sunday morning was spent with our family group. It's always so nice to be together with them. After the girls took their afternoon naps, we went to visit our new little niece, Mia Lynn. She is just so adorable, so I thought that I would include a picture of her. Here she is... sweet little Mia Lynn!

After we returned from visitting Mia and her mommy, we put the girls to bed, and then went to a friends' house for the evening tea. As always, it was great catching-up with our friends.
This morning, we woke-up to a dreary, rainy day! Yippee! We are all quite excited, as Germany has been in much need of rain lately. David and I also woke-up with a little bit of hesitation... today was the day we have been dreading for a while... it was the day of our dentist appointments! We left our little Nina with her Oma, and Aria, David and I walked to the dentist. (It's only about a 10 minute walk from where we live!) As this was Aria's first dentist appointment, we weren't sure what she would do. Yet, I think she had the most fun of us three! The dentist treated her so kindly, letting her go up and down on the chair, play with the big light, and even hold his little mirror. She watched as mama and papa got their teeth cleaned, and as mama got a tooth filled.* She even got a prize for being so good... a little flower bracelet! Before we left, she kept saying, "fun, dentist". Mama and Papa were saying, "whew, glad that's over with!"
*Why is it that I, who brush my teeth more, had to get a tooth filled, when David didnt?!?!? Oh well, I console myself with the fact that even the dentist admitted that it was almost impossible for me to keep that part of my tooth clean by brushing. And, I am happy for David that he didn't have any cavities. :)
By the way, our little Ninichka is not feeling good. She has a pretty bad cough and is running a fever. If she's not better by tomorrow, I think we'll be taking her to the doctors. :(
