We can hardly believe it, but we are leaving tomorrow for T-land! Yesterday, David was able to get our airplane tickets… it took him all afternoon, but hey, he got them! When David asked the lady for tickets to T-land, she looked at him and said, “Why do you want to go there? You are crazy, taking two little kids there!” David just politely responded with, “that’s where our work is taking us”. (We are leaving several days earlier than we thought, as the airplane flying into T-land only flies on Saturdays.)
Last evening, David and I talked quite a bit about our upcoming move. Personally, I’m feeling everything from fear to being overwhelmed. Yet, we are 100% sure that this is where he wants us to go, and to not go, to us, would be like Jonah not going to Ninevah. We have been preparing for this for about 6 years, and now that the time has come, the butterflies are there! We just don’t want to make mistakes, yet knowing that we are human, they will be impossible to avoid. But may we learn from them and may he work in spite of us!
So, late tomorrow evening/night, we will be leaving by plane. We are not expecting to arrive in T-land until late Saturday evening, so we have about 24 hours of travel ahead of us. We are definitely not looking forward to all this traveling… especially without being able to sleep (in a bed anyway) for 24 hours. Please be thinking about our girls during this time… that they will stay healthy and strong, and be able to sleep! Please too be thinking for safety as we travel, as well as that our luggage will all arrive safely. We feel so inadequate for the task ahead. Thanks for your thoughts!
(Next post will probably be from T-land! I’ll try to update as soon as I can. We just don’t know how it will be with internet connection.)
