Here's just a picture of the slide outside of our apartment building that Aria really enjoys. I'm so thankful for this slide, otherwise, I'm not too sure what we'd do outside! You can see lots of colorful poles in the picture. Well, the other morning I was outside with the girls and began talking with a babushka. She told me how there used to be swings and all kinds of fun playground equipment. She said it was really nice. Yet, after a short time, everything was broken except for this one slide. Too bad.
The girls like going outside, so we try to go out at least once a day. As you can imagine, they are quite dirty when it's time to come in! I really have to keep a watch on them when we are outside. One time I caught Aria playing with a dirty rusty nail, and Nina finds the pieces of glass on the ground fascinating. There are usually quite a few kids playing outside as well, except in the mornings. It seems that the kids stay up quite late here, and so they must all still be sleeping in the mornings when our kids have long been up.
Oh, and just so you know, ever since David squashed that one mouse, we haven't seen or heard any since! So, some of you must really have been thinking about us... Thanks! We looked for mouse traps but could not find any. So, we got some poison instead, but we don't really want to use it because of our two curious little girls. For now, everything is quiet, so we'll see... :)
