Hello everyone! Sorry for the long silence. We are doing well and everything’s fine… our phone is just not working. Last weekend we noticed that it was acting funny, and David has been to the phone company almost every day this past week, asking them what is wrong. They just keep telling him that they are working on it. So, we don’t know how long it will take to get it fixed… hopefully soon! We are presently at our co-worker’s place, so we just wanted to post a little something so that you all would know that we are o.k. We are just without a phone, and since we have dial-up, that also means without internet.
We’ve had a busy, but good week. Oh, our container of things finally arrived last weekend, so it’s great having some more kitchen utensils and some more toys and books for the girls! We are also very thankful for our warmer fall clothes, as it’s getting cooler and cooler outside. I’m enjoying having our keyboard back as well, although I haven’t been able to play too much yet. Usually when I do play, there is a little person sitting either to my left or right playing several octaves higher or lower. :D I don’t mind, as it makes me happy to see the girls interested in playing as well.
This past week, a friend from U-U was in town again for his work. So, we enjoyed having him with us for several meals in the evening. It’s so neat that we can still keep in touch with the friends we made the past two years. I’m very thankful for that!
The girls were a little ‘under the weather’ this past weekend, but seem to be doing better now. We think they had some type of cold virus that included a rash. They both had low fevers and a little rash that appeared here and there. But, I think they are all over it now, except Nina still has some spots on her face.
Yesterday (Saturday), our little Aria turned 3! We are just so thankful for her and think that she’s just wonderful! We love her so very much, and can’t believe how big she’s getting! She was so excited to have a birthday, and throughout the day would hold up three fingers and say, “mommy, I am now this many!” In the evening, our co-workers came over to help celebrate her birthday. The kids had lots of fun playing together. We played some games, one of which was ‘duck, duck, goose’! Well, the rest of the evening, Nina was tapping people on the heads and saying “duck”. Funny. Aria was so excited to have chocolate cupcakes and ice cream with sprinkles for dessert. Oh, and David kept relighting her birthday candles so each child could take a turn blowing them out. :D I’ll be sure to include some birthday pictures whenever our phone is in the working business again.
Well, I should be going for now. Just wanted to post a little something. Oh, and Waldi, Happy Birthday! We were thinking about you on your special day (the 19th), we were just unable to tell you so! We love you!
Hope to post again soon, with some pictures… yet, who knows when it will be?!?!?
