Outside our home

Here are just a few pictures that I took of the area outside our apartment last week. Hope it gives you a little better idea of where we live. I'll try to add some more in the future.

This is a picture of our apartment building. Unfortunately, you can't see our balcony in the picture (I wasn't at the best angle). Our apartment is on the far left, covered by the tree. As you can see, there are 9 floors in our building. We were told that these apartments were built in 2000, so it is a fairly new building. We are thankful that we can live here.

Here's a picture of the girls (and their beloved 'car') in front of our trash bins. Right now, it looks terrible out there. For some reason, one of our bins is missing and we are only down to 2. Yet, that doesn't keep people from throwing out their trash. There is trash everywhere on the ground! I feel like going out there and cleaning it all up, but I don't think all the trash on the ground could fit in the two bins anyway.
This is the sandbox in the little play area they have for the kids. It's actually quite big and really nice! The girls really enjoy playing in it (with our yogurt containers :D). Although, I'm not sure if you'd call it sand. It kinda looks more like dirt to me, but it still is fun to play in.

Here is our favorite see-saw! When I first saw it, I couldn't help but think how dangerous it looked! I'm not sure it would meet all the playground safety requirements at home! It is quite steep, and there are no handle bars for the kids to hold on to. Aria and Nina still enjoy it though... I just hold onto them really tight, and they don't go that high!
