Toddlers and Crayons

Note to self:

Never let an almost two-year old alone in a room with crayons… even when you’ve given her a nice new coloring book to color in, and she knows that coloring on the walls is a big “no-no”. For even if she’s been disciplined for coloring on walls before, the temptation will most likely be too great and she will submit to her sin nature instead of obeying her mommy. And, of course, she will not choose the yellow (or better yet, white!) crayon to do her dirty deed, which would naturally blend into the wall paper. Oh no, she will choose the darkest crayon she can find… how about black?... to put her masterpiece on the wall. So, unless you want to spend a good part of your morning disciplining and erasing crayon marks off the wall… avoid the situation all together… do NOT let your little one alone with crayons (not even for a minute)!!!
