Siberian Snow and American Football

It pretty much snowed here all day Sunday... beautiful, big white flakes. It is just SO beautiful outside! Not only were we excited to see the snow because we like snow, but also because that means it is warmer outside! Instead of way down in the minus temperatures, it is just around freezing... with beautiful sunshine! (Funny, now when I see snow, I think 'warm' right away! Before, I always thought snow meant that it was cold!)

So, this morning the girls and I bundled up and went outside to enjoy the freshly fallen snow. Since it is so dry here, the snow is also quite dry (if that makes sense). Even though I was walking in deep snow, my pants were not wet at all! It was as if you could see each individual snow flake as it glistened in the sun... absolutely gorgeous! Aria just absolutely loves the snow, and runs everywhere in it!

Nina, on the other hand, doesn't find it quite as exciting just yet. I think it has to do partly with the fact that her snowsuit is bulky and not that easy to move in. :D

Our little Ninichka prefers enjoying the snow from the inside. :D

Recently, my dad recorded an American football game onto a DVD and sent it to David to watch. While the girls were taking their nap Sunday afternoon, David sat down to enjoy the game. When Aria woke-up, she sat down and watched some football with her papa. After a while, she came to me and excitingly exclaimed, "mama, boys... run, jump, fall down"! Yep, she pretty much summed up a girl's first impression of American football! :D
