This morning, after listening to a CD of favorite hymns for children, Aria was walking around the house singing, "bringing in the 'cheese', bringing in the 'cheese', we shall come rejoicing, bringing in the 'cheese'"... (instead of "Bringing in the Sheaves") :D
(I just told my wonderful husband... who's fourth language is English... what Aria was singing, and he began laughing. He then went on to say, "yeah, that song is so weird. It doesn't even use correct English grammar." I looked at him confused. He then said, "why would they make a song saying, 'bringing in the sheeps'". I couldn't stop laughing. Here, all along, whenever David heard that song, he thought people were singing, "bringing in the sheeps"!)
It's been quite cold here... around -25 degrees C. I haven't taken the girls outside very much lately. The one day, I decided to take them out. After spending about 45 minutes getting all bundled up, we were only outside 10 minutes before Aria stated that she had to go to the bathroom. So, we came back inside and got all undressed again!
The girls closely watched me this evening as I set out tea and chocolate for David and our neighbor to enjoy as they studied language. Well, the girls quickly said that they wanted some too! I told them that it was for papa while he had 'school'. They both quickly responded saying they wanted to have school too! So, we went into their room, sat on the floor, and enjoyed strawberry milk in tea cups and a little chocolate while I read them an ABC book. They said they really liked school! :D
David and our neighbor watched a little video clip on Tuva today, in order to discuss some culture. At one point in the video, it showed some Tuvan wrestling. Our neighbor recognized the one wrestler right away and said that he has won the World Championship in summo wrestling 3-4 times, and the Russian championship around 11 times. He then told David that that man lives in our apartment building!!!
