Just a little something…

Happy New Year everyone! We hope you all are having a great year so far!

We brought in the New Year together with some of David’s siblings and their families. It was a lot of fun as we talked and laughed, ate lots of yummy food, set off some fireworks, played games, and just enjoyed being together. I could only make it until about 3 in the morning, but David lasted until 6:30am!

Upon returning to Germany, we found out that one of David’s good childhood friends was expecting his third child around the same time that we are! I guess their little one was anxious to be born, for he arrived soon after Christmas! We rejoice with them in the fact that their little baby boy is strong and healthy, despite his early arrival. It makes us even more anxious for our little one to come!

The other day, I noticed Aria looking at me with a look of horror on her face. I followed her gaze down to my protruding belly button. I couldn’t help but laugh, as I realized she found the new look of my belly button to be quite shocking. She then got a look of pity on her face and said, “oh, poor mommy”! She is definitely our little compassionate one!

Well, I don’t really have too much to post about. I just wanted to type a little something to show that we do still post things here, and to say that we are all doing well. Thanks for checking in on us!
