On our walk yesterday, we got quite the looks! Here in Germany, the average family size is 1.5. Even the government is well aware of the fact that Germans are not having many children any more, and are doing all they can to encourage that to change (including giving money to parents for each child). Yet, that does not seem to be helping. If a couple does not want to have children, they won't, no matter what is offered them. A lot of couples just have one child. Or, if a family has more than one child, the children are usually spaced far apart in age. (The Germans that came from Russia are the exception, along with the Turkish people who live here.) So, I guess we stood out a bit with 3 strollers, and Aria and Nina looking close in age. Personally, David and I do not think that 3 children is considered a big family, but I guess many others think so. We are so thankful for our 3 little treasures and wouldn't trade them for the world! :)
