The other day, I was sitting on the couch holding Micah. Nina went to her room and came back with her little baby doll. She sat up beside me, and then began introducing her 'baby' to Micah. Her little baby even gave Micah kisses! I guess Nina thought that Micah would enjoy meeting someone small like him!

Our two girls can NOT stand it when they hear 'baby' cry. Whenever Micah cries, they try all kinds of things trying to get him to be quiet. They say things like "shhh... it's o.k." and put his pacifier in his mouth. Sometimes they will bring him a toy (which he's not really interested in quite yet). Mostly, they'll just yell for me and say, "mommy, baby's crying" or "baby needs mommy"! This morning, Micah woke-up from his little nap and began to cry. I was in the midst of doing something, so I thought that I'd quickly finish and then go to him. Well, after he cried for about a minute, Aria put her toys down and in exasperation looked up at me and said, "mommy, please go get baby"!

As I was burping Micah one day, he responded with a really loud burp. Nina quickly looked his way, and in a stern voice said, "excuse me"!

This morning I was reading the girls a little story about a dog named "Spot". After I was done, I decided to ask them some questions to see what all they comprehended from the story. I asked Aria, "what was the dog's name"? She thought for a little while and then said, "ummm... Hund"! ('Hund' is the German word for dog.)
