This past week, we moved into a different apartment. Our family group here has 2 apartments, right beside eachother, that they made for people like us. We were staying in the one, yet, as another family is returning from their place of service this week, we moved into the other one. So, we spent the last several days moving our stuff and thoroughly cleaning the apartment. It's now all ready for the next family to come! (It's kinda a long story as to why we had to switch apartments, but basically has to do with the fact that we are planning on leaving sooner than the other family is.)
Our "new" apartment has 2 big fish aquariums in them (yes, we are learning how to take care of fish)! Well, the girls are thoroughly enjoying watching the "fishies". Aria talks to them, like they are her friends. She'll go up to the aquarium, and of course, all the fish swim away. She'll then tell them that they do not need to be afraid. She tries to give them candy as well. Too funny.
On Thursday, Micah had his 3 month check-up. We were thankful to hear that he is doing very well. The doctor kept saying that he is a strong, healthy baby boy. The last 2 1/2 months, he has put on two kilos and is now 10 cm longer! No wonder he is outgrowing his clothes! He also got his first immunization, but thankfully, so far, we have not seen any side effects from it... no fevers, ect. He will be having his 3 week 'hip' check-up this coming week, so we are anxious to see how his hips are doing.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it here before, but we are planning on returning to R-land on August 10th. We have to wait that long, due to the timing of our visas. But, it works out really well, as we hope by then that Micah's hips will be totally fine, and he will be all finished with his check-ups.
Oh, and we would appreciate your thoughts for my dear sweet Grandma Zook, as well as the rest of the family. My Grandma hasn't been doing very well for a while now, and it looks like she may be "going home" very soon. I so do wish I could give her a hug and tell her how much I love her just one more time...
