In all honesty... and soccer

The past couple of days have been difficult ones for us. We don't like to use the word 'discouraged' to describe ourselves, as we know that one who knows the truth shouldn't be. So, we won't use that word, but we have been feeling really 'down' lately. Sometimes, it just seems like things 'just don't go right'! (Actually, the last six months or so have seemed that way for us.) Today, we learned that Micah will be needing to wear his brace a LOT longer than we were expecting (and hoping for), and some things are not working out like we hoped they would concerning the future work in T-land. (Oh, and why is it that our girls just don't want to obey their parents?!?!? They must be daughters of Eve!) So, all that to say, I don't want this post to sound depressing, or like I'm calling for a 'pity party'. I just wanted to be honest with you all about how we've been feeling lately.

On a different note, soccer has been one of the top subjects around here lately! We are presently in the midst of the European Soccer Championship. Since David and his five brothers are all soccer fans (and players themselves), most of the games are watched. Tonight, Germany was playing a big game, and oh, they must have just won for there is a LOT of celebrating going on outside right now... horns honking and people screaming. Way to go Deutschland!!!
