Our retreat in pictures

For our little family retreat, we went to a nature park here in Germany. It is the perfect place for families with little kids to go... super! We rented a little bungalow in the woods... so peaceful and quiet (of course, except for our kids!). There were playgrounds throughout the park and daily activities were planned for children. One of my favorite memories of our time there was when the children and I took a walk through the woods late one afternoon. I had so much fun introducing them to different things found in a forest, such as pinecones, acorns, spiders, moss, and mushrooms. They loved it! But, most definitely the highlight for the girls (and perhaps Micah too) was the indoor pool. They haven't had many opportunities to "go swimming" before, so this was something new.

Here are some pictures of our time together...

Happy 5th Anniversary David! You are simply the best and I love you more and more each day! I'm so blessed to be able to call you my husband! Each day spent with you is definitely a gift from above. Thanks for being so wonderful! I love you, mein Schatz! :D

We tried to teach the girls how to 'mini-golf'. Aria found it was easier to get the ball in the hole with her foot instead of the club. :D

There were many different activities for the children to be involved in. The last evening we were there, they had a pirate evening. This pirate was friendly and quickly became Aria and Nina's friend.
