The past couple of days

We are continuing to enjoy our time here at the Heim. The weather hasn't been the nicest though the past couple of days. It is quite chilly, and all day long it alternates between sunshine and rain. Therefore, I am quite exhausted from putting on little shoes and jackets, and taking them off again five minutes later. But, it's worth it... or so I try to tell myself. :D

Because of the rain, there are lots of little puddles around. Due to the fact that we don't have rubber boots for the girls and they just each have one good pair of shoes, and because it is cool outside, I specifically told the girls NOT to jump in the puddles. I could see the look of longing in their eyes, every time we walked by a puddle. (If it gets warmer, I will let them take off their shoes and socks and jump in them to their hearts content. But not when it's this chilly outside.)

Well, this morning I was cleaning up breakfast dishes and putting Micah down for his nap. The girls were running around outside with David. Well, David got busy fixing a leaking roof, and before we knew it, both girls had given into their "longings" and were jumping away in the puddles! It totally didn't matter to them that they were disobeying... they were having way too much fun! Well, we then took the girls inside, took off their soaking, dirty shoes, and muddy, wet pants. And, since their shoes were wet and because they had disobeyed, they got to "enjoy" the rest of the morning inside, while we quickly put their shoes in a dryer. It was VERY difficult for them to stay indoors, so I don't think they'll be jumping in any more puddles all too soon!

This evening, we had beautiful weather and even ate supper outside! We are glad the sun decided to shine, as this is the last evening for the group of kids that are here for their camp. Tomorrow will be a busy day as the present group gets all packed and cleaned up, leaves, and then the next group of kids comes.

While eating some watermellon today, Aria looked at me and said, "mommy, there are so many nuts in here!" (She was referring to those annoying little black seeds in her piece of watermellon.)

Please be thinking about our co-workers, as they are planning on leaving T-land on Saturday. Their present visas are expiring, and so they are returning to Canada for several months. We hope that they have safety traveling, and a refreshing time with family and friends, although we wish that they could stay there, and we know they long for the same. Also be thinking about the many people in T-land that they have already built relationships with. Thanks!
