Several days ago, a lady was telling me how she is Russian Orthodox. I told her that surprised me, as I thought most Tuvans were Buddhists. She then smiled and said, "oh, I believe that too! Buddhism is very interesting to me!" After talking about Buddhism for a while, she also told me about the many great Shamans that live and practice right here in the city. Shamanism is also highly respected by her.
We were surprised to see tht another Buddhistic (as well as Shamanistic) monument had been built in the city's center since we were last here.
