Yesterday

Yesterday was a special day for me.

David woke-up early and made breakfast for us all. When he called me into the kitchen, the table was decorated with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and candles. Very sweet.

Then, later that morning, I was able to go outside by myself… me, myself and I! It was such a wonderful thing, being able to go for a walk without having to stop every 5 seconds to wait up for little feet, pick a crying child up off of the ground, or tell a little one to put down the piece of glass she just found. (I love our children dearly, and really enjoy being with them. Yet, sometimes, it’s really nice just to have a little break.) I walked to a nearby store, and bought lots of spices! David does our grocery shopping, and does a great job, yet, whenever I have a spice on the list, it just frustrates him. He says he can never find them :D, and so, I usually just end up seasoning with salt and pepper. Not any more! I can now use spices to my hearts content!

Then in the evening, my friend Inna and her son, as well as her cousin, Maya, came over and had supper with us. We had a really nice time with them, and were so thankful they could come.

After we put the kids to bed, David and I indulged in our second piece of cake for the day! We then had a wonderful time of just talking and sharing together.

I went to bed, one very happy and thankful lady. I have so much to be thankful for… so many blessings. And I am glad to be here, very glad.

And that is how I spent the day turning 30!
