Our Saturday

Yesterday morning, we went on a picnic with our co-workers. It was so nice getting out of the city for a bit and into the nature. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, and we had such nice, sunny, warm weather. Unfortunately, I took along our camera with a dead battery. :( So, I was unable to take any pictures. Yet, our co-worker, Erin, takes super pictures and she shared them with us. (thanks Erin!) So, all the picnic pictures were taken by her. We sure are living in a beautiful place!

Funny, we saw this same guy almost two years ago! The kids right away called him "Fluffy". An appropriate name for a camel, don't you think?

After we returned from our fun picnic, we put the kids down for their long-awaited naps and got to work cleaning our balcony. After being closed-up all winter, it was quite dirty from all the soot in the air. It was a dirty job but worth it! It's great having our balcony back to enjoy during the warmer weather.

And, to end off the day, while the kids were playing with the balcony door (something we have often told them not to do) Nina's thumb ended up getting caught in it. Poor little girl, she screamed and screamed! We quickly noticed that her whole thumb nail had come off! Well, it took quite some time for David and I to get it disinfected and bandaged, as poor Nina was just going crazy! Yet, after her thumb had a 'Hello Kitty' bandaid on it (thanks Megan! You guys sent them just in time :D), she was laying in bed with her 'blankie', and 'taking some medicine' (Grandma's smarties), she finally calmed down. We would appreciate your thoughts for her little thumb... and that the nail would grow back quickly!

Poor Nina! :-( I just wanted to say that Asya lost a toenail this winter, and I was afraid that it would never grow back. It's fine now!
