We sure have been doing our best to keep warm here! I just tucked the kids into bed, and usually they throw off their blankets right away. But tonight, they are keeping them pulled up to their chinny-chins! It has been cooler outside this week, around the 40s/50s. That's not so bad, except the central heating to all the apartments has already been turned off. And, as our apartment building is made of concrete, well, it's pretty chilly inside our place. It's kinda funny, because we have been dressing warmer inside this week than we did when it was below 40 outside! Today was a little warmer, so hopefully that means some more summer-like weather will soon be coming. :)
All the hot water in the city has been turned off this week as they are cleaning/fixing the pipes. I heard today that they will be turning the hot water back on tomorrow, and I'm very thankful! I've done my best to make sure the kids still get their baths... even though it has been in just a puddle, and all sharing the same water... but my hair is in desperate need of washing! Yikes. When you don't have something, such as hot water, it makes you realize what a luxury having it actually is! I am thankful for running hot water! Our stove has sure been put to the use this past week, boiling water. So, I'm also thankful for our stove! :)
Today, we discovered one of the nicest playgrounds I have seen here in T-land so far. They just built it at an apartment building not too far from us. The kids just loved it! We've heard rumors that they would like to build a new playground at our apartment building sometime soon too. That would be great if that's really true! I was very thankful for the sunshine today and for this new playground for the kids to play on.
