The Kiddos

Yesterday, the girls and I made the alphabet out of playdough. (May I add that the playdough was sweet smelling Kool-aid playdough? Thanks Carrie K.!)

The kiddos during our morning drawing time... (not quite sure what Micah is doing...)

Our little 'pink' princess will draw only with pink things.

Not too sure how much 'drawing' Micah actually accomplished... (and no, I have no idea why he is wearing one of the girls' necklaces. I didn't even notice it till later.)

Today, I was reminded again of how my children are definitely growing up differently than the way I did. While I was making lunch, Aria calls out, "mommy, are you making blini (Russian pancakes) or pelmeni (Russian meat dumplings) for lunch?" I responded with, "Aria, I'm making soup for lunch." It occured to me that my children don't even know what a hotdog with ketchup and mustard is! Neither have they ever tasted Kraft macaroni and cheese! At least they know what a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is! (Thanks to my mom who sends us PB! :D)

Quite often during meal times at our home, I feel like a 'broken record'. It goes something like this...
Me: "Aria, close your mouth while you chew your food! Micah, sit down on your bottom! Nina, EAT!" (This is repeated continually throughout each meal... sigh.)

I am so thankful for the fact that our 3 little kiddos really enjoy playing together. Today, I was able to make lunch, clean-up lunch, and fold and put away the laundry... in peace and quiet! The kids were busy playing together the whole time. So nice! (Especially, since it's not always like that... they sure can fight too! :D)

Hee hee. Have I already told you that we stayed somewhere that had free, unlimited Kraft mac and cheese available? I thought that would be great for fun lunches! My children didn't like it at all. And usually they eat ANYTHING!
