May 9th is perhaps one of the biggest holidays celebrated here in R-land. On this day, they remember and celebrate R-land's victory in World War II. Of course, it is more of a Russian holiday than Tuvan, but it was celebrated here as well. Around noon, we went into the center of the city to watch the parade. Well, there were so many people, we didn't see much, if any, of the parade. But it was still fun to be a part of the celebration.
