Hello! :)

Hello everyone! :) Sorry for not posting anything for a little while. I guess I just needed a little break from blogging. But, I'm back now and I'll try to just highlight a few of the things which have happened here lately.

On the 28th of June, David and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. Wow, I am just so very, very, very thankful that I married David! He is my absolute best earthly friend and I appreciate him so much! I love you, mein Schatz! :)

We often thought it would be fun going camping together as a family, and David thinks it would be great to get a bunch of guys together to go camping sometime. So, the last time we were in Germany, David found a great 4-man tent. We didn't have space to bring it back with us, so just recently his parents sent it to us. We've been wanting to try the tent out for a while, but since the weather has been so cool, we decided to wait. This weekend, it got quite hot, so we decided to 'break-in' the tent Friday night. The kids were SO, SO, SO excited about the thought of being able to sleep outside in a tent! They absolutely loved it! Of course, it took them a while to all fall asleep, but once they did, they all slept very well. David and I, on the other hand, didn't. The ground wasn't so comfortable, and we were concerned about our kiddos, that they would get too cold. But they were totally fine. :) We had a great time! We just went to a place by the river not too far from the city. Here are some pictures from our camping trip!

Helping papa find worms for fishing...

Aria was so excited with the 'snakes' that they found! :)

Yesterday, we went out in the nature with our co-workers for a little picnic. It was quite hot, but still fun. Here are all the kiddos on our team. This week, there will be two more little boys joining our team!

Yes, at this very moment, our new co-workers are making their big move out here to join us! We are very excited to welcome J and B, along with Steven and Matthew to our team! I'm sure they would appreciate your thoughts as they find a place to live and get all settled in here. Our team will now consist of three families! :)

This summer has been quite unpredictable for us, weather-wise. Overall, the whole month of June has been cool and rainy. Yet, just this past weekend, it has gotten quite hot. I guess somehow the weather now knows that it is July! :) Today, it reached 37 degrees. As the play area outside our apartment is mostly in the hot sun and not covered by shade, the kids spend the afternoons in their little pool on our balcony. Today, a friend came and joined them. :)

Oh, and just a little 'funny':

The other day, Aria ate quite a bit for supper. After she was finished, she stood up and showed all of us how full her belly looked. Nina right away exclaimed, "Wow, Aria! You have an Opa belly!" (Opa means Grandpa in German)
