4 More Nights to Sleep!

It's hard to believe that in just a few more short days, we will be leaving our home here to travel to Germany. As much as we are looking forward to being in Germany and for the birth of our babies, we are very sad to leave our friends and home here for several months. This really is home for us now.

David and I both had our last language sessions on Friday. It was quite difficult saying 'good-bye' to Snyezhana. She really is a great language helper and friend. We have slowly been saying 'good-bye' to our neighbors and friends here, and they say they are sad to see us leave, even though it's for a short time. I already am looking forward to the day when we can come back here! :)

But we really are looking forward to being in Germany, and are thankful for the opportunity we have to deliver our babies there. We are planning on beginning our travels on Thursday, the 15th, and arriving in Germany on the 17th. David is already finding it difficult to sleep at nights, as he always gets a little 'uptight' before traveling. I think his main concern is that they will take one look at my ever-growing belly and refuse to let me on the airplane. :) Hopefully that will not happen. :)
We'd appreciate your thoughts for us as we finish up last-minute details before we leave this week. We have some important questions to ask concerning our paperwork here and of course, we need to pack. We also will be preparing our apartment for the winter by taping all the windows shut. This time we know a little better, and will be packing most of our things away so they will not get covered with soot (from the coal which they use to heat the city) during our absence. Also, please be thinking of our health. It never ceases to amaze me how all of us can be totally healthy for months, and then right before we want to travel, someone gets sick. :) Yesterday afternoon and evening, Nina spent quite a bit of time throwing-up and just being miserable. Yet, she slept the whole night through, and seems to be totally fine this morning. We just hope she is now all better and no one else gets whatever she had.
Thanks for checking in on us, and for all of your support, encouragement, and thoughts. We appreciate you all! :)
