We just received word that David's Opa (Grandfather) passed away just several hours ago. He had been sick the past several years, but just recently got progressively worse. He was taken to the hospital last evening. David and his Opa were very close. I am so thankful that David is able to be here with his family during this time. I am also very thankful that David was able to visit his Opa this evening, (just several hours before he passed away) and felt his Opa squeeze his hand as he talked to him. Even though we are all glad that Opa can be out of this world of suffering and pain and in the presence of his Creator, it still is very difficult loosing someone who is so loved. We'd appreciate your thoughts for David and the whole extended family as we go through this time of grieving. Thank-you.

I am so sorry that you will not see your Opa again on this earth. Glad with you for the special memory of spending time with him during his last hours.
I don't remember, is this your Schelenberg Opa or your mom's dad?
Hello Shawna :), this was David's Schelenberg Opa. His mom's dad passed away almost 7 years ago.
