Aria is definitely one silly, little girl! A couple days ago, David had gotten some raspberries... yummy! While David and I were having an in-depth conversation at lunch time, Aria started laughing and said, "look"! We couldn't help but laugh along with her! I guess raspberries aren't just fun to eat, but fun to play with too! :)
Hanna and Heidi are doing very well! They are getting bigger and stronger with each passing day! Of course, that then means that they are eating more and more on their own, without needing the feeding tube as much! Yeah! Whenever I'm there, I always try to nurse them first. I am so thankful that nursing seems to come so naturally to them, and they are able to nurse more and more! (I weigh them before and after I nurse them to see how much they actually ate, as it is very important for the nurses to know how much milk they take at each feeding.)
The last time the girls were weighed (several days ago), Hanna weighed 2,160 grams, and Heidi weighed 1,830! Yesterday, the nurses told me that they think Hanna will be able to come home next week! She will most likely be the required 2,300 grams by then, and she has been doing very well at eating lately. I hope she will be able to come home next week... because I sure do miss my babies when I'm not with them! Heidi will need to stay a little while longer, as she needs to put more weight on. But she is doing better at eating too, and thankfully, isn't spitting up as much as before!
Honestly, the last week has been very draining on David and I. Of course, we are super excited about the twins and how well they are doing! We have so much to be thankful for! But the constant hospital visits (I try to visit the twins in the morning and evening) along with taking care of our kiddos here at home, is wearing us out. Plus, we just SO miss our babies and just can NOT wait until they are both home with us!!!! We'd appreciate your thoughts for strength and grace for us during this time... and that our babies can put on weight quickly, eat great, and come home! :)

They are soooo precious! And yet, I can't imagine having to make daily trips to the hospital, along with taking care of things at home too. Hoping they can come home soon, and you can be together as a family for the holidays--that would be a great gift, I'm sure!
