Summer Squash

Several weeks ago, I asked David to be on the 'look-out' for some zucchini squash. I was hoping to cook, puree and freeze some for baby food, as well as having a little for us to eat. My husband is wonderful. If I tell him that I'd like something, well, he remembers it! He's already brought me more than enough squash for the babies, and I think we've gotten our fill of it too! I've had to tell him to stop getting them! Well, today some friends gave him two more zucchini squash from their garden. Very nice of them, but wow, I'm not sure what to do with all the squash!

Here, you can get squash in all colors, shapes and sizes. They make nice window decorations! :)

For supper, we had zucchini/squash bread...

and italian zucchini sauce over noodles.

I wasn't too sure how the sauce would go over with the family, but they actually ate it without any complaints and some even had seconds! I guess it helped that I served this sauce over spaghetti noodles and told them it was spaghetti. They were quite content with that. :)
