The day our Aria turned 6

Our little Aria Lee turned '6' years old yesterday! She had been looking forward to this day for several weeks now, and we did our best to make it a special day for her. We truly are so thankful for our precious Aria, and had a fun time celebrating her birthday yesterday. Can't believe she's already 6!

We started out her day by having a special breakfast of Mickey Mouse Pancakes and some peaches, which she just really likes! (We splurged and bought some canned ones.)

After breakfast, the kids painted the pinata which we made out of paper mache the day before.
Aria wanted it painted purple with a big green 6 on it. :)

For lunch, we had a 'pretend' picnic in the children's room. (We had wanted to go out in the nature somewhere for her birthday, but were unable to as our car is 'sick in the shop'. :D) On birthdays, it's very important for our kids to have candles on a cake to blow-out, so we got Aria a cake so she could enjoy all the candles. (No idea why this is all being underlined... sorry!)

In the evening, at Aria's request, we had some of her friends come for supper. The kids had a great time playing and eating together. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures of the party... was too busy doing other things, and some that I did take just didn't turn out. :( But, I think Aria had a great time and enjoyed her special day!

The remains of the pinata! The kids had lots of fun hitting it, and even though we hadn't made it very thick, everyone got a turn at hitting it before it busted apart.

Aria, we love you SO much and are SO blessed to have you as part of our family! You are a wonderful big helper to mommy, and do a great job of being a big sister. We appreciate your caring and considerate heart. You are beautiful, and we are so thankful for the gift of you!
