Has it really been a year already since we welcomed little Hanna and Heidi into our family? David and I still remember the first time we saw them. They were SO tiny! SO precious! Such wonderful gifts!
Arriving 6 weeks early, Heidi weighed just 1,740 grams...
and Hanna was 2,210 grams.
And here are our twin girls a whole year later, on their first birthday!
Aria, Nina, and Micah were SO excited about the twins' birthday, and made it even extra special. They made the twins these little bead bracelets (I know, choking hazard, but we were watching them), and the birthday hats that they wore when they ate their little birthday muffins. So very sweet of them. Those three really do love their baby sisters!
Just thought I'd include this picture of Heidi with her 'dolly friend'
when she was just a month old. Can't believe she was actually that tiny!
I had the twins pose today with another doll baby (we left the other one in Germany).
Even though this doll may be a bit smaller, it still shows that the twins have grown quite a bit this past year!
Before supper and all excited for their birthday party!
"Umm, it's not at all fun if you don't let us play with the candles!"

Heidi was a lot more excited about her new sippy cup
than she was her birthday muffin. :)

Mommy with her 1 year old girls after they had just gotten a bath
and were snuggled in their new birthday pajamas.
Hanna and Heidi, we love you both SO much and are so thankful for you!
Happy Birthday baby girls!
Here's a video of H & H eating their little "reduced-sugar chocolate chip muffins with yogurt frosting and sprinkles". I know, it's pretty long, but I figured that the Grandparents might like to see their grand babies 'in person' the day they turned '1'. Also, just to warn you, you might want to make sure your volume is turned down for the video. Heidi is not at all thrilled about her muffin at the beginning, and the other 3 kids are just, well, excited throughout the video clip. But then again, you could turn up the volume the whole way and experience a little more of what our life is really like. :)
