Laterne Fest

This past week (Thursday in particular), the children here in Germany celebrated the Festival of the Lanterns (Laterne Fest). The story is told of how, on a cold winter's night during the middle ages, St. Martin saw a poor beggar.  He then cut his coat in half and gave half of it to the beggar. If you want to read more about the holiday, you can click here

Here's a short video of Aria, Nina, and Micah walking through the street with their lanterns and singing a familiar Lantern Festival song.

(Sorry, I didn't do a good job centering them in the camera... but give me a break!
I was walking backwards in the dark!)
