Our lives are continuing to be full, and sometimes even intense, but we are content and thankful. David is kept very busy with his classes... chemistry, physics, advanced math, economics, computer science, etc. Yeah... all that fun stuff. And I'm kept busy keeping the kids and house in order. Here's just a few tidbits from our lives the past couple of days...
We celebrated Thanksgiving together as a family. (Germany's Thanksgiving was the beginning of October.) The kids all made apple turkeys.
The other day, I took this picture of Hanna at the kitchen sink. When I showed it to her, she said, "Heidi"!
We've been doing lots of talking about a certain subject in our house lately... and getting used to sitting on a special little seat... well, we have two of them now, actually.
Silly girls.
Many German children celebrated St. Nicholas Day by placing one of their boots outside the front door before heading to bed. The parents were then responsible to fill them with little treats. Our kids, of course, wanted to join in on the fun.
We've all been under the weather lately, fighting some nasty colds.
Nina is thrilled with all the Christmas lights and decorations she sees. She excitedly exclaims, "everyone is getting ready for my birthday!" (I guess everyone is... in a way. :D)
Speaking of Nina, last Friday we could not find her glasses anywhere! Ugh. We looked and looked for them all through the house, but still no glasses. I told the kids that whoever finds Nina's glasses would get a very special chocolate from me. Well, that got them all looking... for about 10 minutes. Then they decided that they didn't like chocolate that much after all. :) Thankfully, the glasses were found here in our living room, behind our couch (????) last evening... thanks to our little Hanna! :)
Our littlest one has started eating carrots and pumpkin. Even though she's 6 months now, I wasn't planning on starting her on solids yet. But this little girl was just so eager to eat real food, that I gave in.
Such a cutie.

If you ever lose glasses, a great online site to order more is http://www.zennioptical.com/
What a sweet family you have! Keep on trusting Him in all those intense moments. I was really blessed recently by the reminder that the Holy Spirit has given us all that we need to live victoriously.
Faith wanted to eat at 6 months too, so I fed her "early" as well. I think it's all those big sibblings to look up to. Love you lots, Your Sister, Betsie
