In which I try to excuse my silence in blogging...

In case you were wondering, here are just a few excuses reasons why I have not blogged lately...

1)  Husband is feeling the pressure of upcoming exams, and is spending more and more time studying (and therefore in need of the computer more).

2)  As Aria had two weeks off from school, there was no alarm waking me and the kids up in the morning... which equaled staying in bed longer, and getting a slower start into the day.  It was great.

3)  I was playing countless games of Uno with the older three.

4)  One rule I have for myself, is no computer time while the children are awake... and that doesn't leave too much time left in a day.

5)  I started putting to use the Fitness videos my wonderful hubby got me for Christmas (upon my request). This of course, is done while the children are sleeping.

6)  I can only squeeze so much into those couple of hours in the evenings when the house is quiet!

7)  Last Friday evening, Oma and Opa told us they were coming to watch the kids and put them to bed and we were to go out... just my husband and me!  David and I had such a WONDERFUL time!  Vielen Dank, Mama und Papa!!!

8)  I see the kiddos doing something really cute and decide to take a picture, only then realizing that the camera is on the third floor. By the time I have gotten the camera, the kids have resorted to fighting. (sigh) Thus, I haven't had many pictures to post of late.

9)  Nothing too crazy exciting has happened around here of late...  unless you consider trying to potty train two year old twins exciting.

10)  Perhaps I've just been a bit lazy??? Hmmm.

All that to say, I DO want to continue blogging, and I WILL, especially for the sake of my dear family and friends far away.  But, there just may be a few quiet times every now and then.  :)

Oh, and I also just wanted to add, if any of you ever have a question for us (can be anything from, "what's the weather like in Germany" to "what does your daily schedule look like" to "why did you name your kids the names you did" to "how do you keep up with the laundry with half a dozen little ones" to "do you still think about T-land"... well, you get the point) feel more than free to ask it in the comments section, and I'll try to answer them... if I can. :)

I'll just leave you with a short video I took of H & H yesterday, while they were sitting together at the keyboard. (I did run up those three flights of stairs to get the camera... and this time, they weren't fighting when I got back!)  Love their gibberish talk!  :)

Have a great day!

Loved the video, especially how one finished each song with "Amen"! Is one more of a leader than the other. It looks like it form this short clip, but it's hard to tell in a few seconds. Its been too long since I saw them.
Both remind me of their older sisters.
Good for you Christy, being off the computer when they are awake. It's amazing you are ever on, with everything else you have to do. I know I speak for all who read your blog. You are amazing and we are so inspired by you!
Love to all,
Shawna

Shawna, I guess if we had to pick between the two, we would say that Hanna is more of the leader. Just because she is bit more aggressive and wants to be involved in everything. Heidi is content to sit back and watch what's going on, only getting involved in some activity when she feels like it's safe. Although, Heidi may be more of a follower, she is definitely the 'feistier' one of the two! She's usually the one walking away carrying a certain toy with a smile on her face, while Hanna is left standing there screaming. :)
Thanks for the compliment, but really, I feel anything but amazing... 'needy' would be more what I'm feeling now! Love ya!
