On David's Birthday, the 1st of August, I had a doctor's appointment. My doctor had told me before that she would most likely be able to find out the baby's gender at this appointment. So, David and I decided before hand what we would do. David could not be with me at the appointment, since he was taking care of our little munchkins. And I really did not want to find out the gender by myself. We thought it would be much more fun to find out together as a family if we were being blessed with a boy or girl. So, I asked my doctor ahead of time, if she would be able to find out the baby's gender, that she would not tell me. Instead, that she would write either "boy" or "girl" on a piece of paper, stick it in a sealed envelope, and then we would open it together as a family once I got home. She thought it was a great idea and willingly did what I asked. Except, she even included a picture!
Here's the whole gang with the sealed envelope... all full of excitement and suspense! Will they be having a little sister or a little brother??? (The older three said that either way, they would be happy. We were all hoping for a boy, but everyone said that a girl would be wonderful too, as that would be what God wanted to give us! Aria said, "mommy, I don't care if it's a boy or girl. I'm just so happy that we are going to have a baby!")
And here's an unedited video clip of "the Big Reveal".
(Just so you know, David thought I was taking a picture at the beginning... that's why he's just staring at me and smiling... so funny! And please excuse Madelynn's whining throughout. I was holding her, and she was wanting more attention than what I was giving her. And then Heidi was getting a little hysterical at the end because she didn't have her baby doll. So, sorry for the noisy video, but hey, that's our life! :D)
