O.k. so I think I have it figured out now.
The green can is where the food waste goes.
The blue can is where the paper goes.
The red bag is for the diapers.
The yellow bag is for all plastic.
The grey can is for all metals.
The box is for all glass.
Am I missing anything? I had forgotten that all trash needs to be sorted in Germany, so I'm trying to learn all the color codes again! We have about 4 different trash cans in our apartment, and only certain things are allowed in each one. It's not too bad once you get used to it. Yet, at times, I'm just not sure where things go. Like, which trash can would you put the used tea bags in? I voted for the paper, but maybe I'm wrong? It gets a little tricky when you have some candy wrapped in paper and plastic, but if the plastic and paper trash can are beside eachother, well, I guess it's not that difficult. Germany is such a clean country... perhaps more countries should sort their trash like this!?!?!
