We had a great night of sleep last night... that is, the girls and I did. Poor David couldn't fall asleep until four in the morning! The girls went to bed around 9 and didn't wake-up until 10:30 in the morning! I could hardly believe it that they slept so long! Yet, we were very thankful. Hoepfully this way, they will get back onto a schedule quicker. (There is no Wal-Mart here to make trips to at 4 in the morning!) Granted, Nina did wake-up around midnight and was quite hyper and ready to go! But since I was anything but ready to get up, I put her back down, and thankfully, after about half an hour, she fell back to sleep.
The girls have been enjoying playing with their cousins. Here, they have two boy cousins, and two girl cousins, with another cousin on the way! Hopefully they will pick-up a lot of German from them! We are enjoying spending time with our family here and getting re-aquainted! It's good to see everyone again.
This morning, David and I walked to a nearby grocery store. I was once again a little overwhelmed as we walked up and down the aisles. I was just beginning to get used to preparing meals in the States again. Now, I need to shift gears and try to get used to the different food items here. Of course, they have a lot... that's not the problem. It's just all a little different. But, living here a year already has been a help, so I'm sure it will all come back quickly. I just experienced a little culture shock in the store. :)
Much unlike me, David's mom has an excellent green thumb! I always enjoy seeing the beautiful plants that she grows... indoors and out. She put a few of her beautiful flowering plants in our upstairs apartment for us to enjoy. (And very typical to Germany, it was raining today!)

Here is a picture taken from our apartment window. David's parents live right in the city. It is a very quaint and romantic city. David and I used to enjoy walking through it in the evening. Perhaps we will get an opportunity to do it again!
And here is a photo of Aria enjoying one of Oma's rolls and a story with her tante (aunt) Lydia and cousin Theo.
