While I was busy doing some baking today, the girls kept wanting to "help" me. So, I quickly made them some play dough to play with. They thought it was the best and it kept them content for quite some time while I finished up the baking and made lunch! I thought I'd just include the play dough recipe, in case any of you would like to try it. It is so simple, and doesn't even take five minutes to make.PLAY DOUGH
2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
3/4 - 1 cup water
1/2 tsp. food coloring
2 tsp. cream of tartar or alum to smooth dough, optional
2 tablespoons oil, for a more elastic dough, optional
Knead on floured board until play dough consistency. Cover and store in refrigerator.
(It would have probably been more fun if I would have put food coloring in it, but what we have is packed away in our suitcase that goes with us to T-land.)
By the way, thanks so much for thinking about David Wednesday evening as he led our family group's meeting. It went very well, and he definitely knew that He had helped him!
