Just wanting to say, "hello"

I guess I don't really have too much to say, but just thought that I'd at least say "hello"!

We had a nice weekend, besides the fact that David's parents were out of town. (They had a get-together with many of the friends they grew-up with in Russia.) Friday evening, we put the girls to bed early, left one of David's brothers in charge of watching over them while they slept, and went to a get-together with several of David's good friends. We had a nice time reconnecting with each of them. It's so neat to see David together with his childhood friends. I can just imagine all the trouble they used to get into as little boys, running around in a small German town in Russia! At least, I enjoy the stories they tell about "way back when...". Here's a photo of some of us together. We had a wonderful meal of shashlik (a Russian favorite) and vegetables.

This week is full of preparations for the Sunday morning meeting, making doctor's appointments, and visiting friends. Tomorrow morning, I am planning on taking the girls to their first "Spiel Kreis" (Play Circle). This is a time where women, who have children about the same age, get together in order to fellowship and give their children the opportunity to play together. It is very common here, but I haven't been to one yet. I'm thinking that this might be something good to start in T-land... certainly a good way to build relationships! We'll have to see...
