This morning David had to run some errands in the center. When he came back, he brought with him some beautiful roses and a little cake for us to have a mid-morning tea break! He also gave me my most favorite gift... a card! I really like cards, especially from my husband! We had a special time together as a family, as we drank tea, indulged in yummy cake, and talked and laughed together.
My birthday tea time
(Aria and Nina contributed their fingerprints to the cake when we weren't looking :D)

We put the girls down for an early nap, and then at 2 in the afternoon, we all loaded into the van taxi that we rented for the occasion. We picked-up our co-workers, and then went on a little trip outside of the city. It was just wonderful getting out in the 'country' for a while and breathing in some fresh air! And fresh it was, it was actually quite chilly! We are thankful that our taxi driver planned before-hand that we would build a fire... it helped to keep us warm! It was just nice doing something a little out of the normal routine, being together as a team, watching the kids run around and have fun, and enjoying some fresh air. Here are some pictures from our time outside...
The kids just loved running around outside and exploring.

Our taxi driver helped to build us a big, warm fire!

All five kids, bundled-up and enjoying our little picnic...

It's definitely getting colder here! It's already snowed on the mountain tops! Can you see the snow on the mountains in the far distance? Beautiful!

On our way home, our taxi driver pointed out this camel to us! Kinda neat seeing a camel like this in the open versus in a zoo somewhere. Our taxi driver said that this camel is pretty old. Maybe that's why he had only one hump that stood up??? I really like this picture... camel and horses grazing together. :D
