All tuckered out

Early Tuesday morning we had an appointment at the American embassy in Frankfurt, in order to apply for Micah's passport, birth abroad certificate and social security number. Since it takes at least 3 hours to drive to Frankfurt, we left late Monday afternoon and spent the night there. We spent several hours at the embassy Tuesday morning, before visitting with David's aunt who lives near Frankfurt. We had a nice time with her and her son before starting on the long trip back home.

We were thankful that we were able to accomplish what we needed to on this trip, but needless to say, we were all very exhausted when we returned home Tuesday evening. David and I had decided to take the girls along with us, as we wanted to see how it would be traveling together as a family of five. Our conclusion? Well, overall it was o.k., but it did have it's stressful moments... such as all three children screaming at the top of their lungs (all at once) at McDonalds! David and I both concluded that we are NOT looking forward to the long trip back 'home' in a couple of weeks, but it must be done! Once we got home, we bathed our 3 treasures and put them all to bed early. And then David and I collapsed! :D
