One of the highlights of our day is when the kids and I go outside. If the weather is nice, we like to go outside after the kiddos wake-up from their afternoon naps. (It seems that this is the time of day when the most people are outside.) Lots of children live in our apartment building, so the girls usually have someone else to play with in the sand. :) Since we returned a little over a month ago, I have had the opportunity to get to know some other moms. It has been really, really nice for me to have some social time during the day! Not only is it great language practice for me, but I also learn quite a bit about their culture, especially as the moms talk to one another. There are two ladies in particular that I spend quite a bit of time with outside... Dina and Ina. I really, really like these ladies and hope that we can continue to spend time together, even when it gets too cold for our children to play outdoors.
The other day, I had our camera with me when Dina's husband came outside. (Dina said that he came out because he wanted to meet me, the American. :D) He kindly took this picture of Dina, Micah and I. Please remember these ladies with me, and for myself, as I spend time with them. I really enjoy being with them, and my heart is burdened for them.

And here is a picture of one of our cute little neighbors. :)
