Yummy red peppers

"Oh no. Mama caught me... again."

"I guess I'd better just smile and look cute!"

After lunch today, while I was busy with the laundry, I overheard the kids playing together...
Aria: "O.k. I'll be Joseph and you (Nina) be Mary. This stuffed animal can be baby J. Micah can be a kitty cat, and mama and papa can be the camels."
(I was expecting to be an angel, or a wise man... but a camel??? Never acted that one out before! :D)

The kids had SO much fun playing outside today while I had a great time socializing! There were several other children outside, and the girls dug in the sand with them and just ran around and had fun. No, Aria and Nina do not know Russian or Tuvan as of now. (We think it's enough teaching them English and German at home.) Yet, they communicate somehow. I think they pretty much repeat whatever they hear the other kids saying. A great way to learn language, really! Well, after being outside over two hours and realizing that it was already past supper time, I went to the girls and asked them if they were ready to go inside. Right away, Nina said, "Nyet!" Then, as we were coming inside, Aria was saying several different words and phrases in Russian which she had just picked-up that afternoon. Kids are really quite amazing with how quickly they can learn things!
