Beaver Springs

This past week, David's language helper took him to a place just outside of the city which the people consider very sacred. Asis told David a lot about the different cultural practices and rituals which they perform there. Very interesting. Today, we went there together as a family.

When one walks underneath this, they are supposed to ring one of the three bells once. They believe that this will then bring them good luck.

There are many different springs of water. The people will go there and drink from the different springs, as they are considered to be 'like medicine' and will bring one good health. For example, if someone has heart problems, he would drink from the spring that is designated to bring health to the heart.

The people put things like candy, cookies, and money on this rock as they make a wish. (We had to convince the girls that no, it was not snack time!)
