Micah really, really wants to feed himself. I've been a little hesitant to let him, just because I don't like all the mess afterwards. (I know, lazy me!) Yet, whenever we have scrambled eggs for breakfast, I let him feed himself with a spoon, and he loves it! He actually does a really good job too!

Here is Micah, sitting on our 'screaming chair'. Actually, all our munchkins take their turns on this chair throughout the day. Whenever they scream, whine around, or disobey, they spend some time sitting on this chair in the corner. AND they need to be quiet when sitting here! Just thought it was 'funny', as we didn't need to teach Micah what to do on this chair. The first time I sat him on it, he right away got quiet and just sat there. I guess he's seen his sisters on it so many times, he knew what to do! :)

This morning, the girls went to "auntie" B's (our co-worker's) place to make cookies. So, it was just Micah and I at home. Usually Micah is so fussy when the girls are away, but today, he was soooo good! I think he enjoyed having mommy all to himself for a bit. :D We went to the market to buy some fruit (so much easier to do with one child instead of 3!), cleaned up the house, did laundry, and sorted through some home schooling material. We had lots of fun together, and it was nice to have a quieter, more relaxed morning. Although, I was really missing my girlies, and was so glad when they came back soon after lunch! Thank-you B for making cookies with the girls! They loved it and it was so good for them to be doing something special with another adult besides mommy. The cookies are good too! :)
The kids and I had a super nice time outside this evening, just playing and talking with the other children and our neighbors. I just am so thankful that we can live here, in the building which we do. I really like the children in our area, and it's so much fun seeing our kids interact and play with them. It's exciting to think that they may all grow-up together. I am thankful for Dom #8! :)
Our little baby really likes to move around! :)
I forgot to mention anything for a while, but the skin rash which Nina had on her chin is soooo much better! Actually, it's all gone and we don't even think about it anymore! A friend had suggested switching her toothpaste, which we did. Soon afterwards, the rash cleared up! So, thanks so much Gina for your suggestion (we're not 100% sure that the toothpaste was the problem, but perhaps it was!) and thank-you all for your thoughts for our little Nina! :)
Last fall, I wrote a post asking for your thoughts for a young family whom we knew from school. They were on their way to Mozambique to work there, when they discovered the wife/mom, Joanna, had brain cancer. She was only given one year to live. Well, last month, she went to her eternal home. It's great that she doesn't need to suffer from the cancer anymore and can be with Him. Yet, please keep her husband Curtis (age 27) in your thoughts as he is left here to care for their three children, ages 5, 4, and 18 months. I'm sure they must miss Joanna terribly, and need His strength and comfort like never before. Thanks for thinking about them.

Glad to hear Nina's rash has disappeared. Toothpaste seems like a crazy idea, but I have seen what can happen or I wouldnt have beleived it either. And then again, maybe it wasnt the problem at all...just glad to know its better.
