Today, Sept. 1st, was the first day of school here in our little apartment, as well as all over the Republic and R-land. The girls were just SO excited! On the first day of school, little girls here in R-land will wear big bows in their hair and both boys and girls dress up in their Sunday best. So, just for fun, David and I bought each of the girls a big hair bow for their first day. They wore their 'pretty dresses' and hairbows, and just thought that was the greatest!
They thoroughly enjoy working in their workbooks.
The girls also helped mix up a batch of soft pretzel dough...
... and made 'big A' and 'little a' letters, as that's what we focused on today.
Little brother was right there with us the whole time, enjoying all the excitement (and pretzels!) as well. :)

We started with you! Will asked if I was going to make Jaan wear a bow. I think we'll wait for that until we get to our girls. :-)
