We arrived!

Yeah! We made it here safely to Germany on Saturday afternoon! We are so thankful for how smoothly the trip went. David did a great job planning out the trip, and overall it was relaxing and not at all stressful. The kids did a great job traveling. We weren't too sure how Micah would react on the airplane. He just loves seeing them flying in the sky and was so excited to see one up close. But when he noticed that we were going to actually get on the airplane, he started screaming and screaming... poor little guy was so scared! After we were in the air, he finally calmed down. But, he wouldn't let me take off his coat or shoes... I guess he wanted to be all ready to get off the plane as soon as he was able! :) The second flight, Micah was much more relaxed, so I guess he's getting more used to traveling by air. :)

(waiting for our flight to Moscow)

It is nice to be here and to see family and friends again. We are staying at the same apartment which we stayed at almost two years ago for Micah's birth. We have also been provided with a car for our time here. We are very thankful for everything!
Yet, we do miss our home in T-land. Even Nina turned to me the other day and said, "mommy, I miss my home"! I'm glad that they miss our place in T-land... I sure do.
We are still getting used to the 6-hour time difference. Sunday morning, we were all awake by 4am! (Too bad there are no cows here to be milked!) We let the kids play for 2 hours, and then put them back to bed at 6. Micah slept some more, but the girls just laid there. As we had a busy day with family and friends, the girls missed their afternoon naps. So, you can imagine how exhausted they were when we put them to bed last night! Hopefully we'll be on Germany-time within the next couple of days.
This week will be a busy one making doctors' appointments and getting Aria and Nina ready for kindergarten. The babies and I have our first doctor's appointment today! Yeah! I'm excited for it, but also a little nervous too. I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes. :)
Thank-you all for thinking about us while we traveled here and as we get settled in. We definitely feel taken care of.

Just thought this was so funny...
As we were traveling over the mountains by taxi from T-land, Nina was looking at a 'princess' book. She came across a picture of "Beauty and the Beast". As she only knows the story of "Cinderella", I wondered what she thought about seeing a princess dancing with the beast. Well, she began to make up her own story to go with the picture... "There was a pretty princess, who had no parents. So, she married a cow." I just thought that was so funny, I laughed until I cried! :)

So good to hear that you arrived safely in Germany--yeah!! Now, I can't wait to hear how your doctor's appointment went :) Hope those precious little babies are growing healthy, and that you are feeling good as well.

Hugs,
