"Happy Thanksgiving" from a cold and frozen land!
The older three colored lots of Thanksgiving pictures, as we talked about pilgrims, indians, the first Thanksgiving, and what the holiday is really all about.

We put them all together and made a Thanksgiving poster.
Oh, here's just one of our cuties.

Thanksgiving morning, the kids and I were busy getting things ready for our evening meal. I tried to let the kids help me as much as possible, but at times... whew... it required quite a bit of patience! Still, I think we had fun together, which was the goal. :)
Here, the kids are helping me get the chickens ready to bake.
The older three had fun making some 'apple turkeys'.
(Technically, you are supposed to use mini marshmallows, but since we can't get them here, we used the only gumdrop-like candy we could find. They still turned out, just kind-of "Christmassy". :D)
3 of my little turkeys with their turkeys :)
Oh, just another cutie!
We invited those students (from David's former English class) who could come, over for a traditional American Thanksgiving meal. Six students came, plus our friend David and his boys. We had lots of fun eating, talking together, and playing a couple of group games.
We really enjoy these students!
Here, Aria was reading one of her stories to Snyezhana.
All of us
(minus our friend David who was taking the picture)
We have SO many things to be thankful for! I am so very thankful for my Friend, my wonderful husband, five kiddos and baby #6. I'm also so thankful for our friends here, and that we can be here at this time. We are also so thankful for each of you, all our friends and family 'back home'. Thanks for checking in on us, for all of your encouragement and support, and for your friendship. Happy Thanksgiving! :)
