On Friday morning, David stayed with our kiddos, and I went out and about all. by. myself. It was wonderful!!! I just did a little Christmas shopping, but those 2 hours outside of the apartment and away from the people whom I love dearly, but can also use a break from at times, was SO refreshing. I came back a much better mommy and wife! (After being cooped up inside the apartment for several weeks with the kiddos, my mommy nerves were getting a little shot and in much need of a break!) Later, the kids told me that they wanted me to go away again. "Why?" I asked, thinking they must have liked just spending some time with their papa. "Because then when you come back, you bring us lolli-pops!"
H & H got their first taste of a lolli-pop! The older three were very generous in letting them take turns sucking on theirs. It was all 'fine and dandy', until Heidi sucked the candy right off of the stick! Then, they didn't share any more. :)

Anyone want some T-land pizza? One of the students brought us a pizza from a local grocery store which sells them. This was perhaps only the third time we've eaten a T-land pizza. It doesn't look bad, and actually is quite good... if you like pickles on your pizza. Right now, pickles taste quite good to me, so I ate what the others didn't. :)
Umm, yeah. The kids like the high chair for some reason.
I can still remember when Aria used this chair herself 5 years ago.
Ahhh... memories...

Recently, we've been feeling a need to get some more vitamins in our diet. So, David went to the local market and bought some fruit. (Fruit is quite expensive here, especially during the winter, so we normally just buy apples and bananas.) Well, you would have thought that David brought candy home! The older three were so excited to see pears, kiwi and oranges! They ate so much! Well, the next day, the toilet was quite a busy place in our house, if you know what I mean!
(Notice all the blue marker on Micah's hand? Yeah. I don't know what he colored more.
The paper or himself.)
Saturday evening, we put up the long awaited Christmas tree! This year, the kids made cinnamon ornaments. They were so simple to make, smell wonderful (unless you don't like to smell cinnamon, right Onkel Eddie?!?!), and look nice hanging on the tree. Here, Aria is showing one which she made.

The other day Aria said to me, "You sound just like Grandma! Just like your mom!"
The twins have been learning the concept of 'no'. Just recently, they have both started shaking their heads 'no' when they know they are not supposed to be doing something. It's pretty hard not to smile or laugh when you tell two little girls 'no' and they both sit there and begin shaking their heads back and forth.
The twins are now officially weaned. They pretty much stopped nursing themselves right after their first birthday. I'm so thankful we made it to our goal of one year!
David is constantly buying milk. We get milk in 1 liter bottles here, and now that the twins are drinking milk too, well, that 1 liter is soon empty! David will bring home about 3-4 liters every single night. Between the twins (who just guzzle milk, so it seems) and the rest of us, we use that much every day! (I think 3.7 liters equals 1 gallon.) I think we should buy ourselves a cow! Perhaps that would be cheaper!
I overheard Nina say the other day, (big sigh) "I wish there was no more snow."
The children have been acting out the Christmas story with a little stuffed finger-puppet nativity set which we have. I overheard this the other day, "O.k. Now baby J. is going to come out of Mary's belly. Now, you need to go and wake-up the angels and tell them to go and tell the shepherds that the baby is here."
I'm starting to feel some movement from baby #6, which I'm so thankful for! We are now almost 17 weeks pregnant.
Thanks for 'stopping by'! :)
