Yesterday, early afternoon, supposedly there was an earthquake here in the city. It was said to have measured a little over '5' on the Richter scale. David had just put the kids down for rest time, when Aria mentioned to him that her bed was moving and she wasn't the one making it move. Soon after, he received a call from one of his friends whom he was planning on meeting with later in the day. His friend, who was all upset and scared, told David about the earthquake, saying that the university where he works was totally shaking and needed to be evacuated. I was in the center of the city when it happened, but didn't notice anything. I guess it scared quite a few people, as even some of the stores closed early for the day. Interesting.

Last evening at supper, Aria suddenly looks up and says, "I can't eat this ketchup. I don't like it. It's so spicy. It makes my ears hurt!" (*The ketchup was not spicy at all... not sure how eating ketchup can make one's ears hurt?!?!)

While Heidi hasn't quite gotten up enough courage to continue practicing her walking yet, Hanna seems like she has figured out that walking is so much easier than crawling. She practices her walking throughout the day, and it's fun seeing her get more and more confident and stable on her feet each day. Yesterday evening, while she was walking around, Aria commented, "She doesn't look like a baby anymore! She looks like a person!" (smile)

H & H have a new favorite pass-time. They like to go into our bedroom and re-arrange the furniture. Seriously. They will push their pack-n-play, which is against the wall on one side of the room, all the way to the other side. I'm constantly putting their bed back in it's place. Crazy.

I'm now at the point where I can not 'hide' being pregnant anymore. I mean, I'm getting big, and fast. When people (neighbors, friends) find out that we are (once again) expecting, there is a wide variety of reactions. Some think it's wonderful, and tell us that they wished that they would have had more than the expected '2' children 'back in their day'. Others look at us as if we are from another planet. (Which, perhaps we are, but we don't care. =D) Still others will ask me if I plan on giving birth to the baby (which is an indirect way of asking if I plan on having an abortion). SO sad that this thought would even cross their minds. But really, abortion is one of the main types of birth control here. If one gets pregnant and didn't want to, they abort. One of our neighbors told me that after giving birth to her two children, she had over six abortions, as she kept getting pregnant and didn't want any more children. =(

We are planning on handing over the keys to our car either today or tomorrow (if all goes well)! We are so thankful that it looks like we will be able to sell the car from here. Even though it's not quite the price we were hoping to get for it, we decided to accept the man's offer. This way, it will save David driving 800+ km to a nearby city and spending up to a week trying to sell it there, and we can knock it off of our 'to do' list and not have to think about it anymore. We are so thankful for the provision which that car has been for us these past several years. It was a big blessing. (sniff, sniff... just kidding... well, perhaps David's doing some sniffing. He really liked that car! =)
