Today, our little Heidi was running a fever and not feeling so good. So, she spent a good part of the day laying on the couch. After tending to the laundry, I came back to find the twins like this.
Being sick is so much more tolerable when you have a twin to snuggle with. :)
(Yeah, I know. Hanna will probably be the next one to get sick.
But, really, it's quite impossible trying to keep these two apart!)
The morning got a bit long for some little people. Heidi was just laying on the couch, Timmy was sleeping, and Aria and Nina were busy playing with a friend that came for the day. After hearing, "mommy, I don't know what to do" several times, I told the kids to go get all their kitchen toys and that I was going to make them an indoor sandbox. They looked at me like they thought I was crazy! We rolled up the living room carpet, put a blanket down, and then got some containers filled with oatmeal and lentils. They had a blast, and the boredom was forgotten! (I got this great idea from my aunt B when we were in Siberia and couldn't go outside much. You can see Aria and Nina playing in their indoor sandbox here.)
Oh, and all that playing made our little two year old quite ready for her afternoon nap! I caught her sleeping like this, and, thinking that it was just absolutely precious, I snapped a photo.
Have a great weekend! :)
