Timothy's 1st Birthday

(I'm better late than never posting this, right?!)

On the 12th of this month, our baby boy turned '1'.  

Our precious, loved and treasured baby.

He was all too thrilled with his new toothbrush!  (He still is. I think he feels like 'big stuff' when I brush his teeth with it, as he's then just like his older siblings. :D)

As his birthday fell on a Sunday, we invited our extended family over for supper.  We had spaghetti… something Timmy (and the kids) really enjoy.

Timmy's 1st birthday cake was made with Quark (similar to Greek yogurt), peaches and cherries.

Papa had to help blow the candle out, before Timmy grabbed it.

We are all SO in love with this little boy! 

I don't think I could ever say enough how thankful we are for this little boy.  He has been such a wonderful addition to our family. And he is just so much fun!  Overall, he is quite laid back and quick to smile. Such an easy baby, really.

Timothy just loves, LOVES his papa!  Oh my goodness! Anytime David enters the room, he starts shaking with excitement and makes noise until David takes him in his arms. Very cute. Timothy also just adores his siblings… and they adore him.  I am constantly hearing comments such as, "oh mom, Timmy is just SO cute!" and "I'm just so thankful that we have a Timmy!" He enjoys the time we have before bed each evening, reading a story and praying together. He will crawl from sibling to sibling, touching them, crawling over them, laughing with them, etc. I think he feels most secure and happy when we are all together. So special.

No, Timmy is not walking by himself yet, but that doesn't stop him from getting around!  He stands up everywhere and walks holding onto things. (Such a fun age!)  His favorite room in the house right now would definitely be the bathroom. He loves to play with everything in there. And I mean everything. So, you can constantly hear me asking the kids throughout the day, "Did you shut the bathroom door?" or "Did you put the toilet seat down?" When he's not into mischief exploring, he likes looking at books, rolling a ball back and forth, and just playing with someone… loves it.

Oh Timothy John, we are so thankful that HE gave you to us and that you are a part of our family. You  are such a blessing to us.  Thanks for bringing so many smiles to our faces throughout the day. We love you, Timmy John… to the moon and back.
