Mommy's break... a stroll in the city

After being inside all week with two very sick little girls, I was SO ready for some fresh air and change of scenery! So, David put the girls down for their afternoon nap and I snuck outside for a couple of hours. It was so refreshing! I liesurely strolled through the city, stopping every now and then to window shop or check out the latest sales at the book stores. At one store, I found some nice warm tights for the girls that were greatly reduced in price. I quickly bought a few pairs, as they will be much appreciated during the long winter months in T-land.

Not being able to resist the temptation, I stopped at one of the many pleasant cafes, and bought myself a Bobe (sp?). This has to be my favorite German pastry. It's definitely a "calorie bomb". Yet, I try to ease my conscience while eating one by reminding myself that it must be some-what healthy, as it contains raisins. :)

I had such a relaxing couple of hours, meandering through the city. It was a refreshed and rejuvinated mommy who then returned to her family! (I sure did miss them... even just after 2 hours!)

Just a few photos from the middle of the city. Doesn't it look 'so German' and super quaint?

Spring must be just around the corner... aren't the flowers beautiful???

Here's a picture of my favorite pastry... the Bobe! (sorry, the picture got a little blurry)

While eating my much craved-for Bobe, I sat on a bench opposite this castle. How lovely!
